Carmel is co-owner of DonCar Hospitality Management Services, a management company specializing in destination sales and marketing services, including vacation rentals, attractions, hotels, hospitality consulting services, turn arounds for distressed businesses, hotel sales and real estate. Carmel served as the Director of Marketing Services for The Grand Bahama Island Tourism/Promotion Board from 2014 – 2018 and is currently serving as the Marketing Consultant for the organization. During her time at the Board she served as Chairperson of the Marketing Committee and has more than 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Carmel has a Masters Degree in Hospitality and Tourism as well as a number of Management certifications from Howard University and James Madison University. Carmel’s extraordinary wealth of knowledge of Grand Bahama Island helps visitors understand the overall Grand Bahama landscape, particularly where to go and places to see, and how to navigate the local culture. Carmel is married to Donald Churchill of Ontario Canada and they are the proud parents of one 26-year-old son, Kenroy Alexander.
